WELCOME TO THE PIG & WHISTLE

The Pig & Whistle is a traditional Devon pub with log burners. By car we’re just 5 minutes from Totnes and 10 minutes from Newton Abbot, Torquay & Paignton. Our food is cooked to order using locally sourced ingredients from land to sea and has developed us a reputation for being the place to eat!

Our bar is open all day from 11am (Sundays 12 noon). Donna & Philip McCann have worked within the industry for a long time, Phil has worked in the industry since he was 16 years old and Donna worked for a law firm until 2001 when hospitality became her life. Donna and Phil have raised their family within the industry and now work for the family company. Both Donna and Phil grew up in South Devon but have moved around over the years with work and are now enjoying Devon Life.

We are really proud to have a great team at the Pig and Whistle – welcoming guests since late 1700’s.

Monday – Thursday 11am-9.30pm
Friday & Saturday 11am – 10.30pm
Sunday 12pm – 9.30pm

FOOD SERVICE TIMES:

Monday – Friday 12pm – 2.30pm & 5.30pm – 8.30pm
Saturday 12pm – 3pm & 5.30pm – 8.30pm
Sunday 12pm – 8pm

The Bar

A well stocked bar offering a wide selection of quality Lager, Cider & Guinness together with drinks from local Real Ale producers including Dartmoor Brewery, Salcombe Brewery, South Hams & Otter Brewery along with Guest Ales from local micro brewers.

Wine is a favourite of Phil’s & we have a great range of old & new world wines from our local supplier, Regency Wines of Exeter.  

Gin is a favourite of Donna’s and we have a fine Gin and Spirit selection again supporting local distillers as well as fashionable favourites.
